What are you giving up?

“Dive into the historical roots of Lenten self-denial, tracing back to Jesus’ 40-day fast. Explore how early Christians embraced sacrifice for spiritual discipline. Today, the tradition continues, emphasizing not only giving up but taking on meaningful practices. Discover a holistic Lenten approach, from attending services to learning hymns. Embrace this journey of reflection, repentance, and preparation, fostering personal growth and a deeper connection to faith. Explore ideas to enrich your Lenten experience, echoing the call to ‘Take up your cross and follow me’ (Matt 16:24–26).”
