We BELIEVE that Jesus Christ purchased and won us from sin, death, and the devil with His own blood. Therefore, we BELONG to Him and in Him we belong to one another, so that we BECOME like Him as we mature in faith toward God and fervent love toward one another.

The Gospel text for this upcoming Sunday is the account of Jesus being accused of casting out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of demons. Jesus says, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls” (Luke 11:17). Jesus doesn’t want us to pretend unity when there is none. Nor does he desire that we cover up the truth for the sake of unity. Love does not rejoice in wrong doing but rejoices in the truth (1 Cor 13:6). We overcome evil by doing good (Rom 12:21). This week ask the Lord in prayer what wrongdoing is dividing your household and what truthful and good thing you can begin doing to overcome it.
